Advanced Skills Training – upgrading of basic skills to hone their capability towards commercial production 3. Orientation of forming a business enterprise to include securing of business license and other legal requirement to operate a business 2. Orientation on business organization and management 3. Coordination with financing institutions for possible funding assistance to relocatees inclined to put up business and to those with existing business requiring additional capital . NHA-LDD can assist the beneficiary in the preparation of the business plan if required by the financing institution Establishment of credit information facility at the barangay / LGU level for increased access to credit / livelihood financing. MFIs helped Yolanda dela Cruz Sebastian of NV5, Bocaue, Bulacan, improve her business from a small store into a small grocery Livelihood Seed Fund The Livelihood Program Seed Fund is a grant to qualified people’s organization (PO) and non-government organization (NGO) for specific livelihood project proposed for the benefit of the affected families of North Triangle relocated to different NHA resettlement sites The Livelihood Program Funds shall be utilized for the various livelihood program interventions that will enhance the beneficiaries’ employability and augment their household income. The capital assistance granted to all North Triangle legal organizations shall be recovered through the commitment to pay the monthly amortization of its resettled members through the earnings from the livelihood project. Cooperative Development Organization and development of cooperatives are part of the training programs that help the relocatees organize themselves into cooperative based on the required services in the area i.e. consumer, multi-purpose, water system, transport, market, consumer, producer ,etc. Organization and development of transport, market, water service, credit, consumer and producer and other service cooperatives is coordinated with concerned CDA offices and LGU to address the immediate needs of project beneficiaries. Coordination with concerned agency providing cooperative development training based on the identified type of intervention needed to further enhance/strengthen organizational capability towards enhanced economic activities Formulation of implementing guidelines in the operation and management of water system, transport, credit, consumer and producer cooperative Formation of Sub Committee on Livelihood Interaction sessions with GOs and NGOs on their functions, roles and relationship in program delivery and utilization of services Conduct of Inter Agency meetings with the receiving LGUs and livelihood agencies at the regional, provincial, municipal/barangay to determine the existing programs and services to be offered to the affected families Facilitate conduct of training and provide capability building intervention with HOA Officers / AMO / LIAC / Sub Committee on Livelihood and livelihood agencies on various livelihood / affordability enhancement program & agencies’ program and services IMPOK PABAHAY PROGRAM The Impok Pabahay Program (IPP) is a financial asset-building tool that enable housing beneficiaries met their housing obligations through planned savings program. It is also a collection strategy to redirect and upgrade the existing informal and traditional exchanges and practices into a workable, systematic and sustained program to build up their own resources. Various training programs on values formation and financial literacy are conducted to IPP saver-enrollees to provide them motivation and adequate knowledge on proper household cash flow management in order to enhance / increase their propensity to save and pay their housing obligations and meet other basic household needs. Cluster leaders are also organized from the group to act as link of NHA to saverenrollees and help sustain the Impok Pabahay Program implementation. The IPP savings tool is the Alkansyang Bahay reminds the program saver-enrollees to save part of their housing obligations at a shorter period of time to gain ownership of the lot awarded to them.
