FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NORTH RIVER LOBSTER COMPANY IS BACK!
New York’s First and Only Floating Lobster Shack Re-Opens May 1st!
NEW YORK, NY – April 13, 2015 – North River Lobster Company, the city’s first casual, fresh, three-floor
floating lobster shack is back for the 2015 Summer season on Friday, May 1st, and it’s bigger and better
than ever. Located at Pier 81 on W41st Street and the Hudson River, convenient to Times Square and
the High Line, the new and improved North River Lobster Company will now offer an additional 150
outdoor spots for guests to enjoy all things lobster, amidst breathtaking views of New York City’s skyline.
“On the heels of the widely successful opening season of North River Lobster Company in 2014, we’re
eager and excited to re-open next month with great new offerings for our guests,” said Danny Boockvar,
Chief Executive Officer of New York Cruise Lines, the parent company. “This restaurant is key to the
transformation of our iconic location into a premier dining destination.”
The Boat
Following its grand opening last May, North River Lobster Company has been expanded to add over 600
square feet on each level and can now host 450 guests, making it the largest lobster “boat-staurant” in
the nation. There are newly expanded bars on all levels, perfect for groups, after-work cocktails and
sunset hangouts.
The Bar
Also new this year is the North River Lobster Pier Bar. On Pier 81, it offers North River’s guests signature
cocktails and waterfront seating along the pier.
The Lobster
North River Lobster Company’s famous Lobster Rolls are back, plus a newly expanded seasonal menu
featuring Fresh Maine Lobsters and classic lobster shack items including Fish and Chips, Lobster Tacos,
Lobster Caesar Salads, and new this year: Lobster Ice Cream. The restaurant’s raw bar will feature a
selection of regional favorites including Oysters, Littleneck Clams and Jonah Crab Claws. New specialty
and signature cocktails will again be served in classic Mason Jars, featuring Life Saver and Porthole
signature drinks, along with pitchers of sangria and buckets of premiums beers.
Set Sail!
Just like last year, North River Lobster Company will take diners on short cruises out onto the Hudson up
to six times per day, with a sailing schedule designed for quick lobster lunches, after work drinks, sunset
dinners and incredible views of the Empire State Building and the Midtown skyline.
