Dear Sunday School/Children’s Liturgy of the Word Families:
My name is Lisa Greger and I am the Director of the Sunday Preschool Program for 3, 4 and 5 year olds
and Children’s Liturgy of the Word Program here at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish. Sunday Preschool is
held on Sundays during the 9:30 a.m. Mass from September thru April each year.
Sunday Preschool is a religious based program that targets God on a child’s level so that they
understand the weekly Gospel and other areas of religion that children benefit from. We learn about our
five senses, creation, Jesus and his family and why we are special. We emphasize the religious aspect of
holidays during the year with special celebrations. We color and do arts and crafts activities and we love
to watch Veggie Tales. We also do pay it forward projects during the year. This program is for 3, 4 and 5
year olds who are potty trained.
If you would like register for one or both of the programs, please fill out the attached registration form
and return it along with a $30.00 registration fee. If you have more than one child, it is $30.00 for the first
child and $20.00 for each additional child. Please make checks out to OLMC. Our first class is September
20, 2015. We will meet on the second floor on the east side of the building in room 233/235 (upstairs from
the church).
We also offer a Children’s Liturgy of the Word Program during the 9:30 a.m. mass. We will pick your
children up from the Church for this program right before the first reading and return them after the
homily. This program is available for Pre-3 thru 1 grade. There is no fee for the Children’s Liturgy of the
st
Word Program. This program will start on September 27, 2015.
Please fill out one registration per child. I have attached two copies, but feel free to make more if
necessary. Also, a skeletal calendar has been attached. The calendar is subject to change without
notice.
