Dear Friends:

oday the Church celebrates the Feast of Corpus Christi - the Body and Blood of Jesus.
It is truly a beautiful feast because it reminds us of the sacredness and importance of the
Mass. As Catholics, the Eucharist is the greatest gift we have given to us by Jesus Christ because it is the very presence of Christ who is on the altar at every Mass. I ask that we remember the importance of this Feast and our responsibility to be prayerful and devout each
time we come to Mass. Also, this Sunday, our 8th Grade Graduates will come to the 9:30
A.M. Mass. Please pray for them. Also, Father Cezariusz will install new altar servers. This
is an important ministry for our young people. I ask you to pray for them. God bless you!

REGISTRATION FOR RELIGIOUS
EDUCATION PROGRAM
If you are already registered, please send
in the form and fee by June 30th to receive a
chance to win free tuition for next year. We are
also offering free tuition to an incoming 1st
grade student in memory of Mrs. Virginia
James, who was a beloved catechist for many
years.
New families can register on June 4th , and 9th
from 9:00 - 12:00pm or 7:00 - 8:00pm in the rectory, or on Sun June 14th from 8:30-11:30am in
the school gym. Please submit a copy of your
child’s Baptismal certificate and fee is $125 for
one child and $150 for two or more children.
We would like to invite all parishioners to a devotion to the most
compassionate Heart of Jesus which
will be held on Friday, June 12th ,
after the 9:00 A.M. Mass. There
will be a box on the table closest to
the main sacristy where you can place your
intentions. We will pray for these intentions
during the devotion. We need your help and
active participation in celebrating the Feast of
the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Let’s welcome Jesus in our hearts and keep the fire
burning with our love for Him. All are welcome!
A SPECIAL “THANK YOU”
Many thanks to all our parishioners who
filled out the Liturgy Assessment Tool.
Your input is valuable. We received a very
large number of the forms. Once the Committee has reviewed the results we will publish them in the bulletin. Thank you!
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
A special “Thank You” to the parishioners of Our Lady of Hope for the most generous donation of clothing made on Sunday, May
10th to the Society of the St. Vincent de Paul. This
clothing, as many of you know, will be utilized to
maintain the dignity of the poor and needy in the
diocese. A special note of thanks to the members
of the St. VPaul Society for their assistance.
On Saturday, June 13th at the 5:00 P.M. Mass, Father Kevin Abels will be installed as Pastor of St.
Sebastian by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio.
May God’s goodness and kindness be with Father
Kevin on this special occasion as he continues to
shepherd the people of St. Sebastian!
BASKETBALL/SOCCER
REGISTRATION
Registration for basketball and soccer
will be held on the following dates in the school
gym/cafeteria:

We will be accepting registration for the following
grades:
Basketball: Kindergarten through 8th grade
Soccer
1st grade through 8th grade
We will not have kindergarten soccer program
this year.

DONATIONS TO YOUTH MINISTRY
The students of our Youth Ministry Program plan to
visit the nursing home, so that we can spend quality
time with our seniors. There are many people there
who don’t have family and spend most of the time
alone and depressed. As part of our visit, we plan to
play some games with them. We would like to ask
for your generosity in providing us with some board
games such as monopoly, chess, scrabble, etc.
These items can be dropped off after the masses next
weekend to the main sacristy or during the week to
the Rectory. Thank you for your generosity.
Mets BUS TRIP
The Holy Name Society is hosting a
Bus Trip to see the Atlanta Braves vs.
the Mets. All are welcome. Tickets are limited, so “first
come, first served.”

HOLY NAME SOCIETY
The Holy Name Society will celebrate their last Corporate
Communion Mass of the season next Sunday, June 14th,
