Dear Friends:
W
henever I read today’s section of Paul’s Letter to the Romans, I remember the famous
question “who we are?” New schools, new jobs, and new family situations bring that question to mind, sometimes with a force that surprises us. Why? There are times we feel as if
we have lost ourselves and lost our way. When those moments come, all we can do is trust
that someone does love us and calls us to be our best selves. In his letter, Paul reminds us
who we are - the adopted children of God - and in the process he also reminds us whose
we are. We belong to God, and we are grounded in this reality by our baptism in the name of
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Today we celebrate the feast of the Holy Trinity.
God the Father, the Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit is a love relationship. It is that relationship
that brings us joy.
Yours in Christ,
Very Rev. Michael A. Carrano

BASKETBALL/SOCCER
REGISTRATION
Let’s Go, Mets!
We would like to invite all parishioners to a devotion to the most
compassionate Heart of Jesus which
will be held on Friday, June 12th ,
after the 9:00 A.M. Mass. There
will be a box on the table closest to
the main sacristy where you can place your
intentions. We will pray for these intentions
during the devotion. We need your help and
active participation in celebrating the Feast of
the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Let’s welcome Jesus in our hearts and keep the fire
burning with our love for Him. All are welcome!
DONATIONS TO YOUTH MINISTRY
The students of our Youth Ministry Program plan to
visit the nursing home, so that we can spend quality
time with our seniors. There are many people there
who don’t have family and spend most of the time
alone and depressed. As part of our visit, we plan to
play some games with them. We would like to ask for
your generosity in providing us with some board
games such as monopoly, chess, scrabble, etc. These
items can be dropped off after the masses next weekend to the main sacristy or during the week to the
Rectory. Thank you for your generosity.
