June 9, 2015 Dear Park Tower Apartment Resident, You may have heard today that there are upcoming changes to the after-hours services provided effective July 1, 2015. This is important information for you and your neighbors to have and we take the responsibility of open communication with you very seriously. Please read this letter and all of the attached documents as they contain important information. The changes include: • A new position of Resident Emergency Staff has been created who will live onsite in the building. This person will be available for response to emergencies only. • The management office will be closed in the evening and on weekends. There will be no after hours/security staff person in the office when the office is closed. The office will remain open as it is currently scheduled from 10 a.m. To 4 p.m. Monday though Friday. Please know that we are committed to your safety and the safety of the community. We will continue to provide existing programs and services such as: • Building security patrols will continue. Pacific Patrol and the Resident Emergency Staff will perform random rounds nightly. They will check all interior and exterior areas of the building. They will additionally remove any trespassers, document incidents, respond to emergencies, and ensure the property is secure. • Management will continue to respond to tenant concerns and issues through the utilization of the Incident Report form and through enforcement of the Lease and House Rules. • Security cameras will continue to record activity in all community areas and staff will review the camera footage from reported incidents. This change will require that residents and my staff continue to work together to make this building a wonderful place to call home. The success of this change will increase the responsibilities of everyone involved. The continued success will depend upon you and your neighbors and my staff. We will be soon announcing upcoming Lunch and Learn topics in July and August that will help all residents learn about personal and community safety.
