The position requires well developed customer service skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to deal with the multiple and difficult situations that arise between members competing for the use of space and equipment. The diverse population using the facilities sometimes creates conflicting demands and a variety of needs that must be considered when making decisions and responding. Incumbent is required to physically patrol areas with very limited “resting time”. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Enrolled in a University program Experience: Familiarity with the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Activity and the programs and services Certifications required: Standard First Aid certificate issued by Canadian Red Cross, St. John Ambulance or Lifesaving Society not more than 3 years prior to September 8th, 2015 Basic Rescuer/Level C CPR certificate issued not more than 1 year prior to September 8th, 2015 Further information, including screening criteria, will be available at the interview and at the time a conditional offer of employment is made.
