In this capacity, he has full responsibilities for nursing services throughout UPMC Hamot, as well as oversight of the ED. Jim has made significant impact on the organization by spearheading numerous process improvement teams & quality initiatives to elevate the level of care provided to UPMC Hamot patients. Positions held include; Orderly, Staff Nurse on Med/ Surg, ED Staff Nurse, ED Manager, Asst. Director of Nursing to the present Chief Nursing Executive. He was part of the team that led MMC to become the first hospital in PA to earn the designation of Pathway to Excellence by the ANCC. This team also published the path to Pathways in a major nursing journal and presented at the national Pathways to Excellence Annual Conference. As a seasoned staff member, David has had the opportunity to work with many outstanding nurses and nurse leaders in the organization. She served as Dean of Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences and the Director of the Villa Maria School of Nursing at Gannon. She has been a nurse educator and administrator for over 25 years and has held positions at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville, PA campus, Saint Vincent School of Nursing in Erie, Clarion University & Slippery Rock University. Dr. Masters is an active member of the Erie Community. She is a member of UPMC Hamot Institutional Review Board (IRB) since 2001, service as IRB Co-Chairperson beginning in 2009. In addition, she serves as a member of the UPMC Hamot Board of Trustees, Hamot Health Foundation Board of Directors, and the Erie County Board of Health. Ability to name 3 of the 4 D’s in the Geriatric Assessment Ability to state the difference between delirium & dementia Allen is the Director of Nursing at St. Mary’s at Asbury Ridge. He attended Ohio University, Athens, Ohio & received an associate degree in nursing from Hocking College, Nelsonville, Ohio. He holds a dual master of science in nursing & masters in business admin. Degree from Gannon University. He is board certified in nursing admin. by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He also holds a PA nursing home administrator’s license. He previously held staff and management positons at both Hamot and Saint Vincent & was an adjunct faculty member of the Villa Maria School of Nursing at Gannon, teaching nursing administration theory & the associated practicums for 10 years. He has had numerous articles published in professional publications and is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the PA Organization of Nurse Leaders & Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. “Inspiration From Within” Objectives: Maintain inspiration and productivity from beginning of day to the end Self-motivation Deborah received her BSN from Penn State in 1977 and her MS in Organizational Leadership from Mercyhurst in 2001. She has worked in a variety of positions to include: Staff nurse in Cardiovascular Surgery and Medical Cardiac Intensive Care. She was the Nurse Manager for a Cardiovascular, Medical, Renal, Oncology & Orthopedic units as well as a Director of Maternal Child Health. She has been the Director of Long Term Care Skilled Nursing Facility since 2005 (obtained a 5 Star rating with zero deficiencies x2 years).
