Come on Springtime!!!
EXALTED RULERS MESSAGE
I hope everyone is warm and safe. Have you ever
seen a February like this one? Even the snowman froze his
carrot stick off. I guess we still have global warming, but it
sure didn’t feel like it when it was -11. Well the good news is
that Keith and Sara have been busy planning some great menus and entertainment at the ol #1459. Check Keith’s corner for the latest updates.
I’m sorry that we had to reschedule the reverse raffle until this
month, but with the weather so bad and the potential for more bad
weather (which we got), we thought it would be better and safer to postpone it for 1 month. We will be doing initiation this month, please come
welcome the new members.
We had two of our Hoop Shoot participants win the state and now
will travel to Maryland for regional's. Way to go Chase Hancock and Taylor
Scott, good luck and thank you for making us proud.
Remember next month is the state Elks convention in Bluefield.
Our buddy Jackie Barlow will be the new state president. It would really
be nice to have a great showing of support for him. I also expect a lot of
visitors to come over to see our veteran’s memorial during the convention.
Please make them feel welcome when they come to the lodge.
It’s a new lodge year, and we need to continue to come up with
fun things to do at the Princeton Elks. The ping pong guys, the pool league
and our golf league are growing. Come out and join one of these or maybe
you would like to start your own activity, who knows, it might take off like
these did. March madness is here, come out for the Big 12 tournament and
then the NCAA tournament and root WVU on and take advantage of the
game specials.
Sincerely, Rick Miller, PER
Come enjoy all your favorite sports
on the 4 High Definition TV’s (Including a new 70” 0ne)
in the clubroom!! Come out, have fun and support your lodge.
Come on Springtime!!!

Keith’s Corner
Hello to all of our Members!!
I want to start out by thanking all who braved the snowy conditions and still made it out to
the Valentine’s Dance. The weather did affect the attendance but the ones that did come out
really enjoyed themselves. Some pictures have been posted on the website so check them out.
The Elimination Drawing has been rescheduled for March 21st, 2015.
Another weather related issue. Still a few tickets available but they won’t last long.
Bring your friends! Open to non Elks too. Get your tickets early before they are all gone!
We have planned a dinner and entertainment for Friday March the 6th. A promising young
singer by the name of Krista Hughes will be stopping by with her guitar and playing a nice
variety of tunes. We will have a dance area set up for those who want to cut the rug.
St. Patrick’s Day Food and Drink specials on the 17th. The Coddle Stew sounds delicious.
Congratulations to all of our members that have stepped up and became officers for the coming lodge year. A lot of familiar faces but some new ones too.
Lots of things going on here at the lodge so make sure you take advantage of all we have to
offer, support your lodge and enjoy your times here at 1459!!!
