Make sure everyone is ticketed. • Board the ex-PRR “Gertrude Emma” at the end of our train for inspection and photography prior to departure. Possibly have our business meeting on the train or decide to have it after we detrain. • 11:30 a.m. – Depart for Bartlett and enjoy lunch along the way • 1:15 p.m. – Return to North Conway Station • 1:20 p.m. – Tour the North Conway facilities and equipment • Free to enjoy the town of North Conway and the surrounding White Mountains Region Besides the former PRR “Gertrude Emma”, Conway Scenic also owns former PRR GP-9 (ES-17m) #7083. The Conway Scenic Railroad has been in operation for 41 years. It operates on remnants of the Boston & Maine and Maine Central Railroads in the White Mountains region of New Hampshire. The railroad owns two steam engines (currently under restoration) and a variety of first and second generation EMD diesel locomotives. The diner “Chocorua” was built by Pullman in 1929 for the Lackwanna as an m.u. coach. It was restored and converted to a full-service dining car in 1992.
