AAUW STATE CONVENTION - APRIL 24-25, 2015 - CONWAY, AR
The 2015 AR AAUW State Convention will be held in Conway, AR. The convention kicks off Friday
afternoon at 3:30, April 24th, with conference check-in at the Hilton Garden Inn and a chance to
explore Conway on your own. A Dutch-treat dinner at ZaZa’s in “The Village at Hendrix” is set for
5:30pm and the film “Ivory Tower” will be shown at the Faulkner County Library at 7:30pm. The
Annual Convention Program will be held in the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center on the
campus of the University of Central Arkansas. Saturday conference check-in will start at 8am at
UCA. A tour of the Jewel Moore Nature Reserve will be available for conventioneers at the
conclusion of the conference. Conference pre-registration due by Friday, April 17th.
A reserved block of rooms is available at the Hilton Garden Inn (805 Amity Road, 501-329-1444)
for a special rate of $99 with breakfast included. The group code is “AUW” but you must make
your HOTEL RESERVATION BY APRIL 3.

DIRECTIONS: From ZAZA, head west, returning to the roundabout, go straight through
the roundabout, crossing Harkrider, and through a second roundabout, crossing
Washington, and onto Tyler. The Faulkner County Library is on the right.
From I-40 exit 127, go west on Oak Street to Harkrider. Turn RIGHT on Harkrider. Go
straight through the first roundabout, staying on Harkrider, passing the Hendrix
campus. At the second roundabout, turn LEFT onto Winfield. Go through the next
roundabout, crossing Washington onto Tyler. The Faulkner County Library is on the
right.

DIRECTIONS: FROM THE HOTEL, follow Amity Road south to Hwy 286/Dave Ward Drive,
turn RIGHT (west). (FROM I-40 TAKE EXIT 129) and head west on Dave Ward Drive to
Donaghey Avenue, turn RIGHT. The Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center is 0.4 miles on the
LEFT at Beatrice Powell Street.
The Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center is located in the cluster of AETN buildings,
between Stanley Russ Hall and the Reynolds Performance Hall. The Jewel E. Moore
Nature Reserve is due west, and can be accessed by traveling across campus or returning
to Dave Ward and continuing west to Farris Road. The parking lot is near the trail head.
