Rachel Sanderson MP Member for Adelaide 2 April 2015 Rachel Sanderson welcomes the extension of Homeless Funding Shadow Minister for Social Housing, Families and Child Protection, Rachel Sanderson welcomed the Federal Government’s commitment to extend the National Partnership on Homelessness (NPAH) for an additional two years. Rachel said the announcement by Minister for Social Services Scott Morrison to continue funding through to 2017 brings much needed certainty to the homelessness sector. “I have made numerous representations to the Federal Government since becoming a Shadow minister, to secure such an agreement, so I applaud Minister Morrison for listening and responding”, Rachel said. “As a Shadow Minister with the SA Liberal Party we will work closely with the Federal Government to ensure NPAH money is used effectively to help those most in need”. “The Federal Government’s commitment to continue to give priority to look after those escaping domestic violence as well as vulnerable youth is welcomed and in line with the priorities of the Liberal Party”.
