Rachel Stefano
Mystx FHC
Mystx FHC’s Rachel Stefano has certainly
proven herself on the field and off over the
last four years. The Moorestown, NJ high
school senior recently was named to the
Harrow Sports/NFHCA New Jersey Regional
All-American 2014 team. Moreover, her
high school team, Moorestown Field
Hockey, was the BCSL Liberty Division
Champions from 2011-14, and the team
earned the Group 3 Central Jersey Sectional
Championships in 2011, 2012, and 2014.
Rachel personally was named MVP for
2014; the Burlington County Player of the
Year 2014; the All Burlington, Group 3, and
All South Jersey First Teams 2014; and All
State Second Team 2014.
Rachel is also on the NFHCA High School Academic Squad and a member of the Honors and Service Society at Moorestown
HS. When she is not playing high school hockey and studying, she plays year round for Mystx FHC. She has helped many
Mystx teams compete at the national level including earning gold medals at Festival and Disney.
Mystx Director and Coach Tina Reinprecht says, “Since joining the club in 2011, Rachel has been a focused, consistent,
committed hard worker and epitomizes our mantra that 'hard work pays off.’ Although diminutive in size, Rachel plays a
big game. Her recent Regional All-American selection is proof of that. I am looking forward to working with Rachel during
the indoor season and the spring regional competitions as well as following her next fall at American University.”
Rachel will take her talents to American University in the fall of 2015. Rachel recently signed a letter of commitment to play
field hockey to be an Eagle under Coach Steve Jennings. “I knew American University was the school for me because of the
challenging academics, outstanding coaching staff, and the camaraderie of the existing and incoming team members. I felt
that it was a perfect fit for me both academically and athletically.” Rachel plans to study secondary education and
mathematics with the goal of becoming a middle school math teacher.
