The Community Treehouse is a new space linking up the Steiner Waldorf community
worldwide – helping you and your young people travel around the world as well as making
new friendships and connections online.
You can use the chat forums to share information and discuss issues, read the latest Waldorf
news streamed from Waldorf organisations across the world, or arrange house exchanges,
couch surfing trips, working holidays and youth exchanges within the worldwide Waldorf
community.
There are nearly 4,000 Steiner Waldorf initiatives spread over 61 countries. We can learn so
much from each other and help each other with so many things – as well as visiting each
other’s homes and supporting our young people to explore this wide world safely. Simply go
to www.communitytreehouse.com to explore.

Waldorf Home Exchange, an international membership-based website is a
growing home exchange organization that allows members to exchange, rent or
share their homes. Each member has an account with contact information,
photos, an home description and destination preference. Members can search
the locations page and contact each other directly to inquire about and
coordinate exchange opportunities. The Waldorf community of families can
find a level of comfort and trust in sharing with other families within in the
same community. This alternative accommodation when traveling allows for a
more local experience as well as more affordable travel option. Being able to
live like a local is a compelling way to experience another place and culture. As
one WHE member says, ”Through the Waldorf Home Exchange, I was able to
fulfill a longtime dream of not just vacationing, but LIVING in Italy. Those 5
months profoundly changed my life and will live with me forever”.
There is wide a range of locations on the WHE website from a kibbutz in Israel
to a 1940’s cottage in Laguna Beach, CA, there is a growing range of locations
and types of homes. Recently, members have joined from Dol pri Ljubljani,
Slovenia, Play del Carmen, Mexico, Nashville, Tennessee and Sabarat, France.
The password protected WHE website has a low 3-year membership of $50.00
(US) with secure payment made through PayPal.
The Waldorf Home Exchange origins began in 1991 when Sheila Gradie, a
Canadian Waldorf parent started a printed directory of United States members.
In 1998, Betty Ann Beauchamp, a parent of an alum from Sacramento Waldorf
School took over and began the on-line directory known as WHEPonline.com.
In 2010, Carla Caletti, parent of a child at Summerfield Waldorf School and
Farm in Santa Rosa, CA began as Director. She entirely redesigned the current
Waldorf Home Exchange website and is now developing a more international
membership base.

Welcome to HEARTSMAP: www.heartsmap.org. The mission of
our Community is to make unconditional giving and receiving a natural habit.
We facilitate this by dedicating some of our time each month free of charge to help and support
people in re-connecting to themselves and to others. We all contribute to this initiative in our own
individual ways: some of us offer healing or massage sessions, some yoga, laughter, meditation or
dance classes, some counselling or supervision, some by baking cakes.
The 'HeartsMap Weekends' – when the Community runs its free offers – are held on and around
the 3rd weekend of each month in several countries. Please keep checking www.heartsmap.org
and enjoy some of our wonderful free offers.
