2015 Oswego County Student
Art Show and Competition
Call for Submissions:
All Mediums, including drawing, painting,
photography, mixed media, computer, sculpture,
print-making.
All Oswego County students, grades 7 – 12 as of
April 2015 may enter in either category:
 Junior Artist: Grades 7, 8, 9
 Senior Artist: Grades 10, 11, 12
Original Works are accepted through participation
in a school, an organization or independently.
Entrants need not be enrolled in an art class to
qualify. Entry fee for each piece submitted is
$5.00, payable to Salmon River Fine Arts Center,
4848 N. Jefferson St., Pulaski, NY 13142
Submit 2 dimensional works on White or Black
matte (please note push pins or tape may be used
to hang artwork). Matted work shall not exceed
36” X 36”. Entries will be accepted on

Call to arrange for special delivery or pick-up; at
the discretion of the Show Committee.
Judging:
Works will be judged on originality, creativity and
use of a particular medium by a panel of
independent judges. All work will be selected and
hung at the discretion of the Judges and
Competition Committee. All decisions are final.
Opening Reception and Awards:
A public reception will be held at the Salmon
River Fine Arts Center on Sunday, April 12th
beginning at 1pm.
JUNIOR CATEGORY AWARDS: 1:30PM
SENIOR CATEGORY AWARDS: 2:30PM
Awards and certificates to be presented:
 Sally Deaton Memorial Award
 Darcy Hilton Award
 Best of Show $100
Jr. Artist Category & Sr. Artist Category:
 1st Place $100 (1 per category)
 2nd Place $75 (1 per category )
 3rd Place $50 (1 per category)
Several Honorable Mentions in each category.
Actual prizes will be based on sponsor’s
discretion (check, savings bond, certificate, etc.)

Art Show will be handled with the utmost care;
however, the Salmon River Fine Arts Center will not
be held liable / responsible for loss or damage of any
of my submitted artwork. I attest that each piece of
artwork I submit is my original work.

Show and Exhibit:
The Oswego County Student Art Show will be
displayed in the gallery during the month of
April 2015. Gallery hours are:
 Wed-Friday Noon – 4pm
 Sat. 10am – 2pm
Groups are encouraged to attend; additional
visiting hours can be arranged by contacting the
Fine Arts Center at 298-7007.
 Pick up unaccepted work, Saturday, 3/29 10-2.
 Art will be removed on Sunday, April 27th.
 Art Teachers are requested to participate in this
process and to return the artwork to their students.
All work not claimed by May 31, 2015 becomes the
property of the Salmon River Fine Arts Center.
