The new work will have all the latest technology and will be designed accordingly to ensure that the rooms are set up to meet the educational needs of our students. I would like to thank Mr Geoff West from DET and the staff from Building Asset Services (BAS) for working with me to make these very significant improvements to these buildings. I wonder which students will have all the badges first? Coming to school every day is the key! 178 Students will receive their Attendance Wrist Bands next week on parade! ASG Everyday counts at CWSS. Students attending school every day on time is critical in setting your child up for success in life. Next week we will be reviewing which of our students have reached 95% attendance for the past 5 weeks of school. These students will be invited to join our Academic Success Guarantee program. This is an agreement between students, families and school to ensure children who are attending school regularly reach year level benchmarks. Please help us in assisting your child’s development by sending your child to school every day. Keep an eye out for further ASG information coming out soon and please feel free to speak to a staff member regarding this program. Until next time, Mike 3. If you are not a gardener you can still help. Donations of cuttings, potting mix, pots, and plants would be greatly appreciated. We would like to offer well established plants this year, so I am starting early on the preparations. Any donations can be dropped off to F Block just behind the tuckshop. It is available to families with a child aged between 5-11 years who is above a healthy weight their age. It consists of 10 group sessions that run for 90 minutes each at Edge Hill Primary School. The first 9 sessions are held weekly within the school term. Ongoing individualised family support is offered through the second half of the program ending with one final group session. Some of the topics covered include nutrition skills, relationships with food and eating, changing family lifestyle behaviours and making healthy eating affordable. While the parent sessions are taking place, children enjoy active play with a trained child physical activity facilitator. The program is funded by the Queensland government and being delivered by the Queensland University of Technology.
