Korin: Broadcasting from Studio B201, this is the Seaholm Daily Bulletin
for Wednesday, May 1st, 2013 with Sydney VanHulle and Tommy Scheidt.
Sydney:
Thanks Korin and good morning Seaholm!
Sydney: Seniors: If you would like to speak at graduation auditions will
be held in the auditorium at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 16th. Please
sign up for your audition in the Main office by Tuesday, May 14th.
Speeches should be no more than 5 minutes in length. Please bring with
you to the audition, 8 copies of your speech for the judges .
If you
have any questions please see Mrs. Boyer.
Sydney: The Maple Tree is currently running a charity drive benefitting
the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - or ASPCA.
The ASPCA provides protection for needy animals that have experienced
cruelty. The charity needs as much help as it can get, and every dollar
donated will be for the good of every animal they protect. Stop by the
Maple Tree today and donate!
Sydney: Juniors - the College workshop series continues with a session
on how to complete the common app - presented by the University of
Michigan. Come to the Little Theatre at 7:30 am tomorrow morning - no
sign up is required. If you have questions, drop by the College and
Career Center.
Sydney: There are some fun community service opportunities available in
the month of May! The Baldwin Library needs help Saturday and Sunday to
sell books. Also, Sunday, May 19th is the Birmingham Hometown Parade.
Students are needed in both the morning and afternoon to set up and help
with the parade route and activities. Three outgoing students are also
needed to dress as clowns and hand out candy to the crowds. Clown
costumes will be provided. Contact information for these and other
community service activities are available in the Community Service
Office or on the Seaholm website.
Sydney: If you are interested in running for an office for Student
Congress, be sure to pick up an application from Mrs. DeBoer in Room
A002. The applications need to be completed and turned in to Mrs. DeBoer
by today, at the end of the day.
Sydney: The Breakfast Club meeting has been re-scheduled for tomorrow
morning, Thursday, May 2nd. Meet at 7:30 in the staff lounge.

Tommy: Come to the Mind-Over-Matter 2013 Walk on May 19th at Bloomfield
Hills Middle School and help support kids with brain tumors. The 5K walk
starts at 9 a.m. but registration begins at 8. It is only $15.00 to
register and that includes a free tee shirt. All proceeds benefit the
Brain Tumor Fund.
