In this context, we are pleased to announce to you the organisation of the 3rd Symposium on the crucial question of “How to foster innovation in a fast changing EU energy landscape?” In light of the Communication on “Energy Technologies and Innovation” released by the Commission in May 2013, as well as the EU's Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan, the conclusions of the European Council held in May 2013, the Green Paper on the EU post-‐2020 energy and climate policy framework (March 2013), and the EU Energy Roadmap (2011), this 3rd Symposium aims at addressing specific issues and setting an intense debate around the key issue of innovation for the EU’s future.
