How to Export a CTF from SIMS.net and send to O-Track
1. In SIMs.net go to the ‘Routines’ menu at the top of the screen and select ‘Data Out’ then
‘CTF’ then ‘Export CTF’.
2. Under the ‘Data to be exported’ section of the screen either tick all the available boxes or
the ones shown in the image below.
3. Under the ‘Student Options’ section tick the ‘Include Pupils Already Exported’ tick box
and then click on the ‘Refresh’ button.

4. Right click anywhere in the ‘Students’ area of the screen to load the sub-menu and click
on ‘Select All’.
5. Scroll down the list and click on the name of your LA.

6. Click on the ‘Export CTF’ button.
7. When the CTF has exported (it may take a few minutes), you will get a message similar
to the one seen below, simply take a note of the name of the CTF that is shown on the
message and then click on the ‘OK’ button:

8. Load O-Track: Go to www.otrack.co.uk and log in using your username and password.
9. Click on the ‘Send File’ button:
10. Click on the ‘Browse’ button.
11. Then navigate to the area on your PC or school network where CTF’s are saved e.g.
S:\Sims\STAR\CTFOUT. Double click on the CTF file that is named the same as the note
you made from step number 7.
12. Click on the ‘Upload’ button. You know you have completed the task when you get a
message on the O-Track screen to confirm that the file has been uploaded.
