How to use VC400A FXS and FXO

After you install VC400A, in the following screen, click on Detect New Hardware. Elastix will then detect the hardware
installed.
You can check it as below:
If all the installed cards are not detected completely, you can do it as below:
Firstly, you can check whether power is on, if power is OK, you will see the lights. The number of installed cards is the same as
the number of lights.
Secondly, you can try to re-drive your cards. The detailed steps is :
login on the management desktop of your elastix, fill the following ommands:
amportal stop
service dahdi stop
modprobe dahdi
modprobe wctdm
dahdi_genconf
dahdi_cfg -vvv
asterisk
Next, we will make a zap extension directing to FXS.
At first, we need to use RJ11 line to make a connection between the interface of FXS and the analog phone;
Secondly, login on the elastix browser, and go to: PBX->Basic->Extensions

You will see the box with different options, please choose Generic ZAP Device and submit it.
You just need to fill several blank as below:
Channel is matched with the position of FXS, because each card has their number in elastix.

What is more, we will try to make a zap trunk directing to FXO. The detailed step is: PBX->Basic->Trunks
Click the Add Zap Trunk option; you will just need to fill the relevant information as below:
Zap Identifier must be matched with number of FXO.

Now if you need to use the trunk to go out, you need to make a outbound Route. The detailed step is: PBX->Basic->Outbound
Routes
You just need to fill the information as below:
It means all the numbers of elastix will go out through the trunk voptechVC400A.
If there are calls dialing from outsider ,you need to set the inbound routes .For inbound, please check>>Inbound Routes, set
the destination as you want, IVR or extensions.

It means all inbound calls will go to IVR.
