How to configure Job Scheduling Management Health Check in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 The activation and configuration procedure is described in the SAP reference IMG and be accessed via transaction SPRO in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 following the node SAP Solution Manager Capabilities (Optional) Job Scheduling Management BI-Reporting Health Check. This description assumes that the Extractor Framework of SAP Solution Manger 7.1 was activated during the SAP Solution Manager Configuration for all relevant managed SAP Systems. 1. Activation of BW Objects needed for JSM Health Check Execute report RS_BCT_SM_SETUP_JSM_HC in BW client of SAP Solution Manager 7.1 as a background job to activate the necessary BW objects for the JSM Health Check. 2. Set-up of Data Aggregation Execute report RAGS_JSM_CONFIG_CUSTOMIZE in Solution Manager client of SAP Solution Manager 7.1 to configure the necessary settings for housekeeping of the JSM Health Check Info Cubes automatically. 3. Schedule Data Collection Go to the JSM Workcenter in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 via transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER Job Monitoring and open Adminstration tab. Please select option “Manage Data Collection for Analytics” in the right window to enter the Workcenter for the Extractor Framework to activate the extractors for a specific managed SAP system. Navigating in the JSM Workcenter to access extractor scheduling Within the new window coming up on the screen we can filter on extractor name “*JSM*” and the managed system you want to include into the JSM Health Check. Select the extractor you want to use (job execution or job step execution data), mark it, go to change mode and activate it for data collection. Repeat this for all managed SAP systems you want to include in the JSM Health Check. Scheduling of data extractors for Job Scheduling Management Health Check 4. Configuration of Dashboard views in JSM Workcenter Go to the JSM Workcenter in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 via transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER Job Monitoring and open Adminstration tab. Please select option “Manage Reports for Job Scheduling Management” in the right window to enter the configuration of available dashboard views. Configuration of dashboard views In the newly opened window, please assign to the different views on daily, weekly and monthly basis the extractor results you want to see depending on your scheduling before. Authorization for end users / Access to Dashboards After this configuration, you can access the JSM Health Check dashboards directly via the JSM Workcenter when following node Reports BW Reports. Select the dashboard view you want to access and click on the assigned Report-Link. Accessing the dashboards from JSM Workcenter The end user who wants to access the JSM Health Check dashboards needs the following authorizations which can be defined by a newly created role in customer namespace:
