Open Outlook
Select File from Menu List
• Select the “Info” tab

“Automatic Replies”

From the “Automatic Replies”
screen select “Send automatic
replies”
• From here you can choose
the time frame of your out
of office reply
OR
•
You can leave the “Only
send during this time
range:” box unchecked
and disable the automatic
replies when you return

the bottom left hand of the
“Automatic Replies” panel

Select “Add Rule”

Select the following options
• “Sent directly to me”
• “Reply with Template”
Select Template

At this point it will bring up a
new email. Enter in your out of
office message and leave the
“To” and “CC” fields blank.
When you are happy with your
message, click on “Save & Close”
to save your template.

Select the “Outside My
Organization” Tab
• From there you can
compose your out of office
message that will be
directed to those who are
not part of the Laurier
email system
Once you are happy with your
message, click “OK”

A warning box will appear once
you click “OK”, select yes to
proceed

Your “Out of Office” message has
now been set, you can disable
your reply from this screen upon
your return
OR
At this point if you have set a
particular date and time for the
out of office to activate, the
“Automatic Replies” will appear
and remain inactive until the
time set.
