Creative Solutions for the Digital Life™ How to enable ADVANCED Port Forwarding on the MI424WR Verizon FiOS Router The MI424WR Verizon FiOS Router ships with a long list of preconfigured settings for popular applications. If you know the specific port address etc that needs to be opened in the Router, please follow the steps below. Otherwise, please read the article titled “How to enable BASIC Port Forwarding on the MI424WR Verizon FiOS Router”. 1 Step On any computer that is connected to the Internet, type http://192.168.1.1 in the web browser window and then press Enter. MI424WR Verizon FiOS Router from Actiontec 7 Step Step Select the device or computer that you want to port forward from and then click the RED “Add” button after Protocol. Enter your User Name and Password. Step 2 3 Step Click the “Firewall Settings” icon, located on the middle of the top bar. 4 Click “Yes” to proceed. Step5 8 Name the solution or application that you are port forwarding by typing the name in the box following “Service Name”. Then click “Add Server Ports”. 9 Step Step Select the type of Protocol from the Protocol drop down menu. Click“Port Forwarding”, in the menu on the left.
