How to
Determine the User Name
and Password of your
GT724WG MTS Wireless
DSL Modem
We'll review the easy steps on how to find out or reset the User
Name and Password of your MTS Wireless DSL Modem.

GT724WG

from Actiontec
Try the following User Name and Password combinations.
User Name = admin Password = (the last 6 letters/numbers
of your MAC address).
Note: There is a label on the side of the Modem that lists the MAC Address.

Step
On any computer that is
connected to the Internet, type http://192.168.100.254 in the web
browser window and then press Enter.

Enter the default User Name and
Password.

If neither combination works, you'll need to reset the router to
factory default settings.
WARNING: Any changes that were made to the Modem after
the initial installation will be lost.This could include changes to
the wireless network name, wireless security settings, or port
forwarding configuration etc.
User Name = admin Password = (the last 6 letters/numbers
of your MAC address).

Step
The main screen should appear.
Note: If the modem is not connected to the Internet the wizard will appear instead.

Step
To restore to factory default settings, get
a ballpoint pen and use the pen to press
down the Reset button for approximately
15 seconds.

Step
Wait for the router to restart. Check and make sure that the Power,
DSL, Internet and at least one Ethernet light are GREEN.
