How To Install TPC’s Chem-Gard™ 200°C CAT 6 Industrial Ethernet Cable Figure 1 What You Need: • Chem-Gard™ Cat 6 Cable • RJ45 Connectors • Wire Cutters — to cut, strip and trim the Chem-Gard™ Cat 6 cable • Pliers — used to flatten-out the Chem-Gard™ jacket and spline (cross-web) so the jacket fits easily into the connector • Crimp Tool — to crimp the wires and RJ45 together Figure 2 • Cable Tester HOW TO WIRE CHEM-GARD™ CAT 6 CABLE TO A RJ45 CONNECTOR: 1.Run the full length of the Chem-Gard™ Cat 6 cable in place; be sure to leave excess 2.At one end, cut the wire to length 3. Strip off about 1-2 inches of the Chem-Gard™ Cat 6 cable sheath Figure 3 4. Pull back conductors and trim the spline (cross-web) from the end (Figure 1) 5. Align the colored wires according to the layout of the jack and add a load bar 6. You will need to use pliers to flatten the jacket and spline (cross-web) before inserting into the RJ45 connector (Figure 2) Remember, TPC can add connectors to your cable order before we ship it! 7. Slide RJ45 connector into place and use your crimp tool to crimp the wires and RJ45 together (Figure 3) 8. Repeat the above steps for the second RJ45 connector 9.Use a cable tester to ensure proper installation TPC Wire & Cable Corp.
