How To Import Contacts to IQTELL IQTELL provides contact import tools for Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail, and AOL. However, you can import contacts from Apple iCloud to IQTELL using the steps below. -‐ Export contacts from iCloud -‐ Merge Data -‐ Import to IQTELL I. EXPORT CONTACTS – FROM APPLE ICLOUD 1. Log in to iCloud – http://www.icloud.com 2. Click on Contacts. 3. Click on the gear icon in the bottom left corner, and Select All. 4. Click on the gear icon again, and click Export vCard. A .vcf file will be downloaded to your computer. 5. Open this website: http://labs.brotherli.ch/vcfconvert/ 6. Next to vCard-‐File, click on Choose File and select the file that was just downloaded from iCloud. 1 7. Change the Format to CSV, Comma, and turn on Add header line. 8. Click the Convert button, and a .csv file will be downloaded to your computer. II. MERGE DATA 1. Right click on your Contacts folder and select Export Folder Fields. A file called folderfields.csv will be downloaded to your computer. 2 2. Open both folderfields.csv and the Contacts.csv file you exported in the previous step. 3. Column by column, match the field name from folderfields.csv to your Contacts file. The order of the columns does not matter. If there are fields that are not available in folderfields.csv, you can add these fields with IQTELL’s Form Editor. a. Add Missing Fields i. Right-‐click on your Contacts folder and select Folder Configuration, and then click on Form Editor. 3 ii. Add any fields from the left column that you need using the Form Editor. iii. When you are finished adding the appropriate fields, make sure to change the field names in your Contacts.csv to match. 4. Save your contacts. When the following prompt appears, click Yes. 4 III. IMPORT TO IQTELL 1. Log in to IQTELL. 2. In your IQTELL Workspace, right-‐click on your Contacts folder and select Import. 3. Click Browse and select the file you just saved, and then click OK.
