HOW TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON THE NEW VOK WEBSITE
Documented below is the process for accessing the Village of Kensington website. Please
ensure that you complete each and every step outlined below as each step is a crucial piece
of our security measures to ensure that neighborhood outsiders do not gain access to our
private neighborhood website. Failure to complete each of the steps outlined in this
document will delay your access to the site.
Please contact any of the VOK Board members with any questions or comments.
Step 1: Open your web browser and goto http://www.villageofkensington.org
Step 2: Click the “Register” link at the bottom of the Login box on the left side of the page to
create a new user account.

Step 3: Fill out the required fields on the Registration form. Required fields are marked with
a yellow exclamation point . For reference, the required fields are also identified with a red
arrow in Illustration 2 below. All other fields are optional.
Illustration 2: Complete the required fields above, then click "Register" to create your account.
Step 4: Click the “Register” button to submit your registration request and create a new user
account.
Step 5: Check your email for an email validation request from the VOK website, similar to the
sample email below. Click the link contained in the email to validate your email address. As
a security measure to prevent spammers and outsiders from gaining access to our private
neighborhood website, all new user accounts must be approved by a VOK Board member. If
you do not validate your email address by clicking the link in the email, you will not be able to
gain access to the VOK website.
Step 6: Once you have validated your email address, the site administrator will activate your
account and you will receive a confirmation email to indicate your access has been approved.
Step 7: Return to your web browser and access the Village of Kensington website once
again. Login to the website using the username and password you created during the
registration process.
