Dear colleagues,
with our new ERA-EDTA sponsored CME course we
provide a unique opportunity to train both your practical
skills in renal biopsing as well as general management
issues in patients with autoimmune diseases. The concept of Problem-Orientated medical Learning (POL) in
small groups was developed by outstanding academic
teachers of the Harvard-Munich teaching alliance. The
practical biopsy course on specifically prepared cadavers is a joint activity of the Leipzig University Anatomical Institute and the Nephrology Division of the St.
Georg Hospital. Both courses will be conducted in German language with individual advice available in English. For those of you interested to attend a Germanspeaking congress, the Saxon Nephrology and Pediatric
Nephrology Educational Congress on the following day
provides a further compact opportunity to update your
professional knowledge (28th February 2008, programme available at www.nephro-leipzig.de/4SFN).
