enclosed tender schedule. If you are not prepared to accept a partial order, please state this clearly

The envelope should be sent to our school by registered mail or deposit in the School Tender Box
located at the General Office in Ng Wah Catholic Secondary School, 5 Choi Hung Road, San Po
Kong, Kowloon, Hong Kong and arrive not later than 12:00 noon on 28th April 2014 (Mon). Late
tenders will not be accepted. Your tender will remain open for 90 days from the “Closing Date”,
and you may consider your tender to be unsuccessful if no order is placed with you within these 90
days. You are requested to note that unless the attached Technical & Price information, Part II of
the tender form and “Prevention of Bribery Ordinance & Declaration of Conflict of Interest” are
completed, the tender will not be considered.
If you are unable or do not wish to tender, it would be appreciated if you return the tender form with

PART I
The undersigned hereby offers to undertake the service as described in the tender
schedule within the period of time as specified therein from the date of a firm order
placed by the school at the price or prices quoted in the tender schedule including labour,
materials, all other charges and in accordance with the details provided by the school. In
so doing, the undersigned acknowledges that all items not otherwise specified shall be
provided in accordance with such details; tenders shall REMAIN OPEN FOR 90 DAYS
after the Closing Date; and the school is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender and
reserves the right to accept all or any part of any tender within the period during which

Registration and Employees’ Compensation Insurance Policy are currently in force and

Prevention of Bribery Ordinance

Stage III: Contract Administration, Site supervision &

3.4 Issue Certification of Practical Completion of the work

Terms and Conditions:
1. Payment Terms
a) 20% upon confirmation of contract
b) 50% upon start of carpentry works
c) 25% upon issue Certification of Practical Completion
d) Balance 5% will be released up completion of all defect rectification and expiry of defect liability period.
2. Defects Liability Period
12 months from the date of completion of work.
3. Liquidation Damage Clause
HK$1,000 penalty for each day of delay for completion.
4. Completion date or renovation duration
Duration from 12 May 2014 to 30 June 2014
5. Risk Assessment
If the works are high level works of 2 metres or more of tender, Please submitted :
a) The tenderer shall review the work activities and then submit risk assessment and method statement before
commencement of work;
b) The tenderer shall provide safety supervision on each site by a full-time safety supervisor who has at least three
years' experience on construction work and has completed an appropriate training course provided for safety
supervisors. The safety supervisor shall inspect and ensure a safe system of work on site to comply with the
submitted risk assessment and method statement before commencement and during progress of works;

6. Protection of Work
a) The contractor shall be responsible for temporary doors and closing the openings necessary for protection of work
during progress at his cost.
b) The contractor shall provide and maintain any other temporary covering without any cost to department, required
for protection of the finished/unfinished works that may damage during progress of the work, if left unprotected.
c) The contractor shall protect and guard all fixed items and items of furniture, fixture, fittings and all other
furnishing from fire, dampness, theft or any other damage until the date of handling over of the complete work.
7. Make Good Defective Works
a) The contractor shall be responsible for any defect, which may appear in the work. The defective or damaged work
shall be removed and replaced to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in charge/ Architect without any extra
payment. The contractor shall without any additional charge to the Client, renew or replace any work which may
be found faulty or defective either due to workmanship or materials and shall fully maintain the whole installations
for a period of twelve months after the certified date of completion of works by the Engineer-in charge unless
otherwise specified against individual item or subhead of work
b) On completion of the work, the site of work shall be thoroughly cleaned and all debris removed before the work is
handed over satisfactorily.
8. Maintenance
The completed installation inclusive of wiring, light fittings and fans (where supplied by the contractor) shall not be
finally taken over and acceptance certificate issued to the contractor until the expiry of the defects liability period.
During this period the contractor shall be liable for
a) The replacement of any defects that may develop in goods of his own manufacture or supplied by him.
b) The rectifications of all the defects arising out of defective workmanship of the contractor.
c) Pointing of defects by Architect/Engineer-in-charge of materials supplied by the owner. The owner shall provide
replacement of such material. Until the installation is finally taken over, the contractor shall have the right of entry
to the premises, at his own risk and expense, for maintaining the installation in proper order. To facilitate
maintenance the contractor should clearly indicate the detailed distribution diagram on every switchgear,
distribution board, sub distribution board and main board and three copies of which be given to the owner.
We / I understand that if we/I fail to supply the stores as offered
in our / my tender upon accepting school’s order, we are / I am
prepared to pay the price difference to the school if such stores
are obtained from elsewhere. (delete where inappropriate)
