The school has a team of professional teachers running a year-round program of courses in practical and theoretical aspects of ceramics as well as workshops, lectures and master classes with artists from Israel and abroad. The summer semester, starting July 2014, includes a wide range of topics and classes suitable for beginners just starting out in clay, people with experience working with clay and professionals. The relief remains flat but gives the illusion of 3 dimensions and this makes it fascinating. This technique uses slabs of different color clays that are layered and then cut to create 2D and 3D objects by hand or on the wheel. Nerikome is a good way to achieve unique color effects.
