In the year 1933, the family moved to Holland. During WW2, the family moved from their big house to a small apartment in Amsterdam. They did not leave the apartment in long months because they were afraid of the Nazis. The Nazis were looking for Jews in every place, and a few months before the end of the war, someone told them about the Frank family. On August 4th 1944, the Nazis found Anne and her family and sent all of them to Auschwitz. Anne died in Auschwitz in 1945. After the war they found in the apartment the diary of Anne Frank. In her diary she wrote about her family daily life, what she felt and what she thinks about people and about news from the war and from the world. Part 2: Yitzchak Rabin – Biography Was born in Jerusalem. Studied in Jerusalem and then learned in Tel Aviv. He did many good things before there was a state of Israel. In 1941 he was a solider in the Palmach. The Palmach was like an army, before there was a state of Israel. In 1948 he was a commander in the war in Jerusalem. In this war he got wounded. In 1956 he was a General of the north part of the state of Israel. In 1964-‐1967 he was the Ramatchal ( The highest ranking General, the head of the Army). In 1968 he was an ambassador of Israel in the USA. In June 1974 he was Israel’s Prime Minister for the first time. He was the youngest Prime Minister of Israel and the first Prime Minister who was born in Israel. In 1992 He was a Prime Minister for the second time. Rabin wanted very much to do peace with the Arabs. In 1993 he signed a peace treaty with Ashaf ( With the head of the PLO, Arafat). In 1994 he signed a peace treaty with King Hussain, King of Jordan. In 1994 He received a Nobel Prize for Peace. Many people were angry with Yitzchak Rabin because they did not want peace with Arafat ( the PLO). But Yitzchak Rabin said: I was a commander for many years, and I was in many wars, I understand that we need to talk and make peace, there is no other way. In November, 1995 a Jew assassinated Yitzchak Rabin. A Political murder, he killed him because he did not think like Yitzchak Rabin, he did not want Peace with Arafat. The name of the murderer was Yigal Amir. He killed him in Tel Aviv, when Yitzchak Rabin attended a demonstration for Peace.
