Applicable parameters: Parameter Meaning Values IMAGERES Resolution of the processed images. This affects the number of frames InnoEdge processes per second. On an Artpec4 camera InnoEdge can process 4fps at a res of 640x480. HMIN DEFAULT: HALF_FRAME Minimum height in pixels of detected plate characters and numbers. FULL_FRAME: InnoEdge uses main stream res HALF_FRAME: InnoEdge divides main stream res by 2 QUARTER_FRAME: InnoEdge divides the main stream res by 4 A value in the range 16-100. Advised minimum height 20 pixels. HMAX DEFAULT: 20 Maximum height in pixels of detected plate characters and numbers. SERVERIP DEFAULT: 40 IP Address of the server where the resulting detections of InnoEdge engine are sent to. A valid IP address PORT DEFAULT: 192.168.2.49 Port number used by the server to receive the resulting detections from InnoEdge. A valid port from 1 to 65000 PLATEBUFFERLEN DEFAULT: 1234 Number of consecutive frames used by InnoEdge to A value in the range 1-30 start the recognition. NUMMINREC DEFAULT: 4 Number of same recognitions in the buffer that define the final output. SAMEPLATETIMEOUT DEFAULT: 2 Number of seconds InnoEdge ignores plates when equal to the last. A value in the range 1-3600 USETEMPLATE DEFAULT: 60 Allow the system to use country templates and improve the recognition quality. YES or NO ROISTARTX DEFAULT: YES Start point of the ROI horizontal axis. Number in 10th of % vs left side of image A value in the range 0-1000 ROIYSTARTY DEFAULT: 0 – means start at left of image Start point of the ROI vertical axis. th Number in 10 of % vs bottom of image. A value in the range 0-1000 ROIWIDTH DEFAULT: 0 – means start at bottom of image Horizontal width of the ROI. th Number in 10 of % vs ROISTARTX. A value in the range 0-1000. ROIHEIGHT DEFAULT: 1000 – means entire image Vertical height of the ROI. Number in 10th of % vs ROISTARTY. A value in the range 20-100. Advised maximum height 50 pixels. Value >= HMIN. A value in the range 1-30. Value <= PLATEBUFFERLEN. ROISTARTX + ROIWIDTH <= 1000. A value in the range 0-1000. ROISTARTY + ROIHEIGHT <= 1000. DEFAULT: 1000 – means entire image ©InnoWare Technologies 2014 www.innoware-tech.com [email protected] InnoEdge User Manual 3. Graphical representation of ROI set-up: It is recommended to define the ROI to measure approximately 640x480 pixels. This should be calculated versus the total image settings. Example: With an image resolution of 1280x720 Set ROISTARTX at 250 Set ROIWIDTH to 500 Set ROISTARTY at 250 Set ROIHEIGHT at 500 This means ROI is defined from ¼ of the left side and spans half the image. Likewise, the ROI starts from ¼ of the bottom and spans half the height. Thus the ROI measures 640x360 pixels. ©InnoWare Technologies 2014 www.innoware-tech.com [email protected] InnoEdge User Manual 4. Algorithm output: MJPEG STREAMING: An MJPEG Stream delivering the detection results is directly available. In order to show the stream open a web browser and go to www.IPCAMERA/local/innoedge/analyze.cgi When a plate is detected, the result of the detection is placed on the top-left side of the image. This streaming is available also if the application is not licensed. SERVER2: Innoedge can send the result of a recognition to via network to a socket server/listener application. The port on which InnoEdge and the external application communicate can be defined in the InnoEdge application settings (see “Applicable parameters”). When InnoEdge detects a new plate, it sends the following string to the server: <INNOEDGE> <PLATE>DETECTED_PLATE<\PLATE> <DATE>DETECTION_TIME<\DATE> <CONF>PLATE_CONFIDENCE<\CONF> <HCAR>PLATE_HCAR<\HCAR> <\INNOEDGE> wherein: DETECTED_PLATE represents the detected plate, e.g. “AB123CD” DETECTION_TIME represents the time stamp, in format DD-MM-YY HH:MM:SS PLATE_CONFIDENCE represents the quality of the recognition, in the range 0-100 PLATE_HCAR represents the height of detected plate characters. 2 This functionality is available only for licensed applications ©InnoWare Technologies 2014 www.innoware-tech.com [email protected] InnoEdge User Manual 5. Licensing the application: In order to license the application go to the setup page and select “License” in the InnoEdge settings form. The following page is displayed: Press “Select” and navigate in order to select the license file, provided by InnoWare. Press “Install” to install the license. ©InnoWare Technologies 2014 www.innoware-tech.com [email protected] InnoEdge User Manual Upon completion the following page is displayed: In the overview pane “Application Package” “YES” will appear in the “License Installed” field. ©InnoWare Technologies 2014 www.innoware-tech.com [email protected]
