Prior to her career in broadcast journalism, Rossell served as Corporate Economist
and Investment Spokesperson for OppenheimerFunds, one of the nation’s largest
mutual fund companies. Before moving to Wall Street, she was an expert witness
for Deloitte and Touche in court cases involving economic issues. She began her
career as an economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. She has served as a
visiting professor at DePaul University.
Karabell is president of River Twice Research and River Twice Capital Advisors,
where he analyzes economic and political trends. Previously, he was the executive
vice president and chief economist at Fred Alger Management and president of
Fred Alger and Company. A recognized authority on the emergence of China in the
global economy, he served as the portfolio manager of the China-U.S. growth fund,
which won a five-star designation from Morningstar. He was also executive vice
president of Alger’s Spectra Funds, which launched the Spectra Green Fund based
on the idea that profit and sustainability are linked.

FASB Update
With less than a month before its December 15, 2014 effective date, COSO’s 2013 Framework
supersedes the ground-breaking 1992 Framework. In this panel discussion, you will learn
how leading companies are handling the transition to the COSO 2013 Framework and the
implementation issues they may encounter as year-end approaches. Large, small and mid-size
companies can gain valuable insights from larger companies that are further along in their
implementation.
