ABOUT THE STROKE CENTER CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP
The Stroke Center Certification Workshop (SCC) will kick-start the Annual Meeting. There is an unmet need for
expanding stroke centers of excellence across the country and healthcare systems, stakeholders involved in the
stroke chain of survival, and industry need to join hands in making this a reality. This workshop is intended to
bring together healthcare systems, hospital administrators, physician and nurse stroke champions, emergency
department (ED) and emergency medical services (EMS) leaders, and industry leaders (Tele-health, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Device) who are interested in learning the requisite components of building, certifying and
sustaining a successful stroke center. The Workshop will also highlight the business side of stroke and a practical boot camp for developing a stroke center.
The Workshop will be attended by hospital administration (CEO's, COO's, VP's Business Development, VP's Neuroscience), Nurse leaders (CNO's, VP's Quality), Physician leaders (CMO's, Stroke Medical Directors, Stroke Neurologists, Critical Care physicians, Neurosurgeons, & Neuro-Interventionalists), Industry leadership (CEO's,
CMO's, CTO's, VP's of medical device, Pharmaceutical and Telemedicine companies), ED leadership (ED Directors, ED Medical Directors), EMS leadership (EMS medical directors, EMS/Fire chiefs), ICU leadership (ICU directors, Neuro ICU medical directors), Interventional Lab Leadership (Radiology Directors, Supply Chain Management), Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Residents and Fellows.
ABOUT THE SVIN ANNUAL MEETING
The SVIN Annual Meeting has become a premier academic venue with scientific presentations covering the full
spectrum of cerebrovascular diseases and stroke. Topics to be addressed include extracranial carotid stenting;
ischemic stroke thrombectomy and chemical thrombolysis; intracranial atherosclerosis and its treatment with
medications and interventions; stem cell therapy for stroke; aneurysm treatment with coiling or flow diversion;
arteriovenous malformations and dural arteriovenous fistulas, and other related topics. Our speakers are
leaders in the field, given the high level of the field-specific presentations we anticipate continued attendance by
a large proportion of interventional neurology and related endovascular practitioners as well as neurologists
interested and subspecialized in the care of patients with vascular diseases.
The Annual Meeting will be attended by Neurointerventionists, Interventional Neurologists, Interventional Neuroradiologists, Endovascular Neurosurgeons, Vascular Neurologists, Neurointensivists, and other related Neurological or Endovascular Practitioners.
