♦
Sunday 19th October—Harvest Festival Evensong at
St Saviour’s, Kuranda. Preacher will be the Rev’d Robyn Boyd.
After the service the goods will be sold and proceeds will go to
Mission.
♦
Saturday 25th October from 3pm through until 9pm—annual
TAS Coconut Carnival. We plan to have a stall at this. NO 5pm
service this day.
♦
Saturday 8th November - Twilight Market, 4-8pm …..
This will be like our Car Boot Sales, but will run at twilight, roughly
4—8pm when it is cooler. Bookings are already coming in, and
“spotters” are planning to rig led lights to their vehicles and stalls.
We are looking to get food vans too, and buskers if we can find
some. Spread the word around town!
Prayer: Please keep aside a few minutes each
day to pray for family members or friends who may
have lost their faith. This prayer may help...
Christ, whose insistent call disturbs our settled lives, we pray for those who have no
faith, those who have lost their faith and
those whose faith is weak. May they come to
know you, love you,
worship and serve you. We ask this in Jesus’
name. Amen
Psalm 106.1-6, 20-24
1
Praise the LORD! O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his
steadfast love endures for ever.
2
Who can utter the mighty doings of the LORD, or declare all
his praise?
3
Happy are those who observe justice, who do righteousness at all
times.
4
Remember me, O LORD, when you show favour to your people; help me when you deliver them;
5
that I may see the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may rejoice
in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory in your heritage.
6
Both we and our ancestors have sinned; we have committed
iniquity, have done wickedly
20
They exchanged the glory of God* for the image of an ox that eats
grass.
21
They forgot God, their Saviour, who had done great things in
Egypt,
22
wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the
Red Sea.*
23
Therefore he said he would destroy them— had not Moses,
his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to turn away
his wrath from destroying them.
24
Then they despised the pleasant land, having no faith in his promise.
