SERVICE TODAY
Sentence
God has destined us not for wrath but for obtaining salvation through
our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore encourage one another and build up
each other.
1 Thessalonians 5.9,11
Prayer of the day
Everliving God, before the earth was formed, and even after it shall cease
to be, you are God. Break into our short span of life and show us those
things that are eternal, that we may serve your purpose in all we do;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in unity with
the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

Psalm 123
1. LORD, I look up to you, up to heaven, where you rule.
2. As a servant depends on his master, as a maid depends on her
mistress, so we will keep looking to you, O LORD our God, until
you have mercy on us.
3. Be merciful to us, LORD, be merciful; we have been treated with so
much contempt.
4. We have been mocked too long by the rich and scorned by
proud oppressors.
Angel Tree
For several years, we have collected
gifts and money for the Angel Tree.
This is a ministry of Prison Fellowship, delivering love in the form of
Christmas gifts and a message of
hope to children of prisoners.
Donations of cash and toys can be
placed around the Christmas Tree in
the church. It is better if the gifts
are unwrapped so they can be sorted, especially where there are several children in a family, to make sure
we are sending gifts of even value to
siblings.
Collection date.... 14th December.
Prison Fellowship and Chaplain Volunteers will deliver many of these gifts
personally—others are posted or trucked to various communities.
Thank you for your help.
