The Perpetual Adoration Core team is pleased to
announce that Jerry and Ingrid Ripley are the new
coordinators for Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration for the
Le Mars Cluster. Deacon Tom and Cecilia Henrich, who
were the coordinators for the past 10 months have
stepped aside to allow Tom to devote his time and energy
to assisting Fr. Kevin more fully with the needs of the
parish. As a reminder, if you need to find a substitute for
your scheduled hour, please use the substitute lists you
were given to find your own substitute. If you need a new
list, they are available under the sign in table outside of
the adoration chapel. If you can't find a substitute, call
one of the four division leaders assigned to your six hour
block of time. Jerry and Ingrid can be contacted at (402)

MASS SCHEDULE
Giving to Msgr. Lafferty is Beneficial!
In the October 2, 2014, edition of The Catholic Globe, Le Mars
businessman, Jim Klein, discussed why "Giving to MLTF (Msgr.
Lafferty Tuition Foundation) is Beneficial."
Mon Oct 13
Tue Oct 14
Wed Oct 15
Thu Oct 16
How did you find out about MLTF? I have known about
MLTF for several years now. I believe I first heard about it at a
finance meeting at Gehlen Catholic. I have attended luncheons
and meetings hosted by the Gehlen development office where
MLTF was explained.
What surprised you about the fund (MLTF)? It seemed too
good to be true, but it really is a way for people to donate wihtout
costing them much. It is also surprising how easy it is to make a
donation and receive tax credits.

What do you see as the benefits of donating to MLTF that you
would encourage others to donate? The person who makes the
donation benefits and the children who need financial assistance
benefit greatly, too. I see how much of a tax savings it can be for
the people to donate to MLTF. I have seen where farmers who
make grain donations are able to realize additional tax savings. I
really encourage farmers who haven't looked closely at the program to talk to their tax advisor or someone who is familiar with
the program to see how well it can work for them.
Other insights? As a member of the school finance committee, I
see how important it is to the school budget. It allows more families to choose a Catholic education that may not have been able to
afford the full tuition. With MLTF, not as many dollars need to
be taken out of the budget for school assistance.
Who is Jim Klein? Jim is the Vice President of American Bank,
Le Mars. Jim is a Spalding Catholic graduate and father of our
children who have and/or are attending Gehlen Catholic
School. Jim is a member of both the St. James and Gehlen Catholic Finance Committees.
