The Culinary Boot Camp is an interactive training session, designed to enhance the food
production skills of our foodservice participants, and get “Back to the Basics”.
Your Phila./S.Jersey AHF Chapter has created a one-day, hands-on training experience
for our participants to enhance their culinary skills. This training shows participants how
to take food products and upscale the product and the presentation.
Here are some highlights of the Culinary Boot Camp:

Knife Skills
 Learn how to properly select, hold, utilize, and clean a knife.
 After visual instruction from trained executive chefs, participants will have the
opportunity to practice how to safely perform all types of cuts using different
knives.

Executive Chefs “Tricks of the Trade”
 Observe chef demonstrations with different food products, and then the
participants will have the opportunity with a hands-on session.
 Participants will have the chance to practice their newly acquired skills
 Participants will receive feedback from executive chefs and other attendees


registration fee for the Culinary Boot Camp payable to: PSJAHF. The Culinary Boot
Camp is sponsored by your local Phila./S.Jersey AHF chapter and the participating
vendors/manufacturers, allowing for such a minimal cost for a great educational event.
Travel expense to the Culinary Boot Camp is paid by the participant.
