Culinary Boot Camp Summary Date: Thursday Oct 9, 2014 8:30am – 5:00pm The Culinary Boot Camp is an interactive training session, designed to enhance the food production skills of our foodservice participants, and get “Back to the Basics”. Your Phila./S.Jersey AHF Chapter has created a one-day, hands-on training experience for our participants to enhance their culinary skills. This training shows participants how to take food products and upscale the product and the presentation. Here are some highlights of the Culinary Boot Camp:  Knife Skills  Learn how to properly select, hold, utilize, and clean a knife.  After visual instruction from trained executive chefs, participants will have the opportunity to practice how to safely perform all types of cuts using different knives.  Executive Chefs “Tricks of the Trade”  Observe chef demonstrations with different food products, and then the participants will have the opportunity with a hands-on session.  Participants will have the chance to practice their newly acquired skills  Participants will receive feedback from executive chefs and other attendees  Culinary Knowledge      Obtain new ideas to bring back to your facility Receive culinary tips from Certified Executive Chefs Hands-on practice sessions under the supervision of Certified Executive Chefs Enhance your culinary skills High Reward, Low Cost Experience  Culinary training that won’t break the budget  Instill culinary confidence into all who attend  Networking Reception  After a day of learning new skills, join your classmates, the executive chefs, and AHF Phila./S.Jersey Board Members for some food, drinks, and networking!  Receive a certification of completion for graduating Culinary Boot Camp  All attendees will also receive parting gifts for their attendance and involvement with the Culinary Boot Camp So Sign up NOW!
