MANIFESTO
I, Neeraj Chimankar (130110017) contesting for the post of Dance Secretary – Hostel 6 if elected propose
to do the following-
INITIATIVES:





Will coordinate with other secretaries to ensure that pictures and videos of all dance events
related to the hostel are taken and shared on hostel YouTube channel and Facebook.
Expand the existing hostel inventory ( knee caps, hats, caps, other accessories)
Organize a sound and video editing workshop (along with Film and Media secretary).
Will ensure that a proper first-aid kit is available during dance practice.
Will maintain a database of all dance enthusiast people in the hostel.
INTER-HOSTEL EVENTS:




Will ensure that students in the hostel are well informed about the upcoming Inter-Hostel Dance
events.
Will ensure that the best possible team is put up for these competitions and the theme meets as
well as the practice sessions start well in advance to put up a winning performance.
Arrange auditions for sophie dance league.
Arrange theme meet for gyration at least a month ago and ensure practice starts before sufficient
time.
HOSTEL-EVENTS:



Will organize a Basic Dance workshop in the hostel to create enthusiasm and increase
participation of the hostel inmates in SDL (Sophie Dance League) and Gyrations.
Will extend my full cooperation to the hostel council in all hostel events such as PAF, Hex-Fest and
Valedictory Function.
Will try to organize dance gatherings at least once in a semester clubbing it with some of the major
events or festivities (D.J. night with Hex-fest, Dance gatherings on festivals).
MISCELLANEOUS:


Will ensure that the hostel inmates are informed about all the Dance events or competitions
conducted by the Institute Cultural Council.
Will ensure that Prods and Dance Equipment are safely kept.
CREDENTIALS:




Performed at Mood Indigo ’13 representing IITB.
Performed at SPIT Udaan ’13 representing IITB.
Performed in AIDS ‘13 (Annual InSync Dance Show )
Performed in Freshiezza Group Dance Competition.
