Coming Events:
From our President
We have just had two fantastic events. Our
picnic at Purdy’s was blessed with great
weather, awesome venue, food was delicious
with entertainment from Fraser and Daly.
This event was sold out so our change was
well accepted. Then yesterday we had our
annual golf event at Widder. 90 golfers enjoyed a perfect day. Adam and his staff at
Widder go out of their way to make it such a
great day. I had a lot of feedback from golfers who want to keep this event at Widder.
Why fix something when its not broken.
Thank you for all your positive comments.
At the end of our year May 31/15 we will be
losing two good executive members who hold
very important positions. First being Bob Noble who is our stat man, does membership
and importantly applies for our annual fees
from Esso. Steve Baxter who does our
newsletter is also stepping down. If anyone
has an interest in either position please contact myself, Bob or Steve. They will be glad
to discuss these jobs and what it entails.
Please help us out.

Picnic at Purdy’s
Most Tuesdays this summer have not been the best
weather wise, this particular day was perfect for our annual picnic. Thanks again to everyone for participating in
the 50/50 draw, St. Clair Child & Youth was our charity
organization. All who attended were treated to a fine
meal of fish and chips. Fraser/Daley provided excellent
entertainment and the weather was ideal. Fourteen
members won door prizes, CD’s of the band and carry
out fish & chip dinners.

Widder Station, Thedford Ontario
Widder Station was the host again for this year’s golf tournament and they came through
again. Great facility, great food and perfect weather. Longest drive and closest to the pin winners were Sue McAlpine, Connie Lough, John Mattingley and Ed Gotkowski. 50/50 winner was
“Operation Christmas Tree” and Don Bradford. There were several draw prizes which included
gift certificates for John’s Restaurant, Bagel Factory, Bulk Barn and Esso Gas Cards, in total
sixteen winners. Thank you to everyone who attended this event, I don’t think anyone was disappointed. Our next event will be coming up very soon, see you there.
