This year the theme is “Cirque Du Neon”. All OHVA high school students are invited! Each student may bring one guest. Guests do not have to be OHVA students. See the policy from the High School Handbook below: BRINGING A GUEST TO A DANCE POLICY: OHVA students may invite a guest who is of high school age but no older than 20 and out of high school. The following guidelines must be followed to bring an out-of-school guest to an OHVA dance: • Student and their out-of-school guest must complete the guest dance form prior to purchasing tickets. • All guests must show a picture ID at the door. The ID must either be a school ID, State ID or Driver’s License. • Out-of-school guests are expected to arrive at the dance and remain with their host while attending the dance. • Administration reserves the right to refuse out-of-school guests to enter the dances for any reason. • Out-of-school guests must follow all school rules. Enjoy non-offensive music, appropriate dancing, snacks and dessert, all for $10. We will have a photo booth available at no extra charge. Photos will be available online after the dance. For all you non-dancers out there, we have something for you too! We will have activities outside the dance hall as well as tables where you can just hang out! (See page 5) If you are bringing a non-OHVA guest, he or she will need a completed “Permission/Recommendation Form”. (See page 6) Scan all forms and Kmail them to Mrs. Keaton. Tickets MUST be purchased in advance through PayPal. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Bring photo identification. Students and guests will not be admitted to the dance without the prior submission of the appropriate forms and photo identification. Tickets cost $10 per person and space is limited. If you purchase a ticket for a non-OHVA guest at a different time than you purchase your ticket, be sure to include your name as well, so I know who the guest is attending with. Important Notices (the “Fine Print”) Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation from PayPal when you make your online payment. You will not receive a hard copy ticket. Student and guest names will be placed on a check-in list and all will need to check in at the dance. Refunds: Tickets are refundable up to October 17. After October 17, tickets will not be refunded. Contact Mrs. Julie Keaton to request a refund. If we do not sell enough tickets to cover the cost of the dance, the dance will be cancelled and tickets will be refunded. Remember: Be sure to Kmail your signed OHVA Outing Permission Form if you are enrolled in OHVA. If your guest is not an OHVA student, Kmail the signed Permission/Recommendation form along with your form to Mrs. Keaton. Photo identification: Students will not be permitted to enter the dance without some form of photo identification. Photo identification can be a state driver’s license or state ID card. It can be any type of photo identification, such as a Passport or School ID Card. As a virtual school, we need to verify the identity and age of all attendees. Without proper identification, students will not be admitted to the dance – no exceptions! Information for obtaining a state ID can be found at: http://bmv.ohio.gov/state_id_card.stm Parents: There will be a family hospitality room available at the 4-H Center for parents and family members during the dance. Parents will be admitted into the dance during the first & last 15 minutes of the event if they would like to take pictures and/or visit with school staff. Dress Code: The Fall Dance is a casual event. Jeans would be appropriate. Neon colored attire is encouraged, but not required. Make sure there are no holes or tears in clothing at inappropriate spots. Undergarments must be covered. Skirts or dresses should be at least fingertip length or longer. Avoid deep necklines. Modesty is the key. Chaperones will review attire when students arrive and admittance will be denied if the student’s attire does not meet the guidelines for tasteful and appropriate dress. The chaperone’s decision is final. No ticket refund will be given if admission is denied for violation of the dress code. Purses, bags, and backpacks can be inspected at any time. School rules found in the HS Handbook for behavior and discipline are in effect.
