Review of EICC’s new Code of Conduct 5.0, and its impact on risk assessments, audits, and corrective action 8:30 a.m. – 12 noon Trainers: Patrick Neyts, Senior Advisor and EICC VAP Audit Program Manager, Vectra International; Billy Grayson, Program Director, EICC This year EICC passed a new Code of Conduct, our first code edits since 2011. The new EICC code has over forty changes - expanding worker protections and outlining new facility responsibilities for health and safety and environmental sustainability. With a new code, the EICC is also launching a new audit protocol, which will help both facilities and auditors confirm whether facilities have successfully integrated these new code provisions into their policies and operations. During this 3-hour training session, Mr. Nyets and Mr. Grayson will go through the new audit protocol section-bysection, providing detailed instruction on the new audit provisions and what auditors will look for in their on-site assessments. They will also provide guidance for facilities on how to develop effective policies and programs to work towards fulfilling the new code requirements. The recent release of the Verite Report has brought even more attention to the issue. This session will provide Industry with an opportunity to hear first hand from the authors of the report and discuss best practices from fellow member companies.
