Welcome to FinMedChem 2011!
The organizing committee invites all researchers involved or interested in medicinal chemistry to the
first FinMedChem symposium September 15-16, 2011 in Helsinki. Medicinal chemistry involves many
scientific disciplines and it is important that researchers from different disciplines can meet and discuss
new findings, methodologies and strategies. The symposium has also a national importance, as this is to
our knowledge the first two-day symposium in Finland that covers all topics in medicinal chemistry. Five
national graduate schools are participating in the symposium and it is therefore an excellent forum for
young researchers. The program has been planned to cover all topics in medicinal chemistry and the
plenary lectures have a strong interdisciplinary character.
