THE MISSION OF COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
is to glorify God through worship in spirit and in truth. We
acknowledge that we are God’s disciples chosen to joyfully proclaim
His good news of Jesus Christ to the world. Rooted in faith, love, and
prayer, empowered by the Holy Spirit, we utilize the gifts entrusted
to us to fulfill His will.

*PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Nora Smith
O God, in the quiet of this moment, hear our prayer of confession. We are
lame when we do not walk by faith. We are blind when we do not seek your
truth. We crave our own desires rather than your righteousness. Through
Jesus, release us from our sin and forgive us…(Silent confession)
*ASSURANCE OF PARDON:
Nora Smith
Leader: Let us remember that Christ was appointed by God as high priest of his
people forever.
People: As we confess our sins, we have assurance that Christ intercedes on
our behalf. God hears our prayers.
Unison: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thank be to God!
*GLORIA PATRI:
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
World without end. Amen, Amen.
LORD’S PRAYER:
. . . Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy
will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

WE RESPOND TO THE WORD
*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH:
The Apostles Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ
his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the
third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand
of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I
believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness
of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
