This week is a twilight competition. Those wishing to compete in the Walk before the main
program need to be at the track to be ready for the 5:30pm sharp.
Warm Up at 5:45 pm, competition start at 6:00pm

ABSENTEE PARENTS
The Box Hill LAC is not a child minding centre.
We have been made aware there are some who of dropping their children at the track and
departing for other Sunday afternoon activities leaving their child unsupervised. If you must
leave it is your responsibility to arrange a friend or another adult to be responsible for your child.
Every child should be quite clear as to who is responsible for them when at the track. Therefore
if we ask them they can give us a name and tell us were that person is.
What would happen if you child needed medical care or an ambulance and you’re not there.
It is totally unacceptable that you put that responsibility on the Centre and ultimately me as the
President.
BOX HILL TRAINING
I am still getting a lot of calls asking about Training.
It is every Wednesday afternoon unless otherwise informed and it commences 4:30pm and
finishing at 6:00pm
On arriving there will be a log in book next to the canteen to sign in so we know who is in
attendance.
Angela Phillips (0402 143 669) our coaching co-ordinator is a Level 2 ATFCA qualified coach.
We need more coaches to bolster our existing numbers so if you have coaching level
qualifications or demonstrated experience please contact Angela. Coaches who give their time
are remunerated.
REGO PATCHES & BARCODES
Remember your Jetstar Rego Patch with its barcode every week.

NEW REGISTRATIONS
When arriving at the track, head upstairs to collect you Jetstar Patch and Registration Pack.
Those of you who missed collecting the rego pack last week because we could get access to a
locked room can do so this Friday and if you’re not there this week you can collect the following
week.
PARENT DUTY ROSTER
The duty roster is always changing in these early weeks of the season. So remember to check
the roster as you may have been shifted to a different week of the three week cycle. New
families as they come onboard are also added.
Remember don’t be shy. If you would like to help out more than once every 3 weeks let me
know as there are always jobs to fill, particularly in Week 3 as there are simply not enough
parents to go round to cover the 3 week rotation.
UNIFORMS
Box Hill centre uniforms will be for sale this weekend upstairs in the pavilion. We are presently
out of stock of size 8, 10 & 12 and a new batch is being made now and will be ready next week.
Singlets at $25, Crop Tops $30 and Shorts $25.

This Sunday is our Box Hill Relay Day. The matrix shows the number of teams entered for the

Box Hill Relay Day is our biggest fundraiser event for the season.
Anyone who can help for an additional couple of hours, please contact the Relay Day
Coordinator, Alan Bertacco (ph: 0414 366 827) or email your details to [email protected]
Even if your child is not competing and you can spare 2 or 3 hours (or whole day) we
would gratefully accept your assistance.
Those that can assist with set up, we will be at the track from 2pm on Saturday
afternoon.

Crystal Creek Coaching Camp
Camp dates are posted on the notice board next to the canteen. Further information can be
obtained from the information tent.
