Mission: Our mission is to provide a positive, safe and secure environment that will empower
students to learn while building self-esteem. Students will be afforded the opportunity to experience
success and mutual respect which will prepare them to be lifelong learners. The Florence Hill
community will cooperate to produce responsible individuals who are able to adapt to an
ever-changing society.
About Our School: Florence Hill School has served students in the Florence Hill community of
Grand Prairie since 1900. The current building was built in 1990. The rich history of the area is
showcased within the walls and displays of Florence Hill Elementary. Today Florence Hill serves
525 students in grades Pre-Kinder – Fifth. We have three CARE (Children with Autism and Related
Exceptionalities) classrooms and we have a full day “Blended” PK which is blending general education
students with special education students. The benefits are amazing! The academic
curriculum offers all courses required by the State of Texas for the mastery of standards
for each grade level.
