Workshop: Emergent Leadership – The 3 Keys to Influence
C. David Crouch, Senior Consultant, Caterpillar Inc.
Author, The Excellent Experience – A BluePrint for Organizational, Team, and
Individual Success
Emergent Leadership: Three Keys to Influencing Others
Emergent leaders are those who earn the respect of others by virtue of their ability to
influence behavior and performance. They influence others to share the job of safety
that is often delegated to a designated “safety manager.” They speak the language of
executives to garner their active support for critical safety initiatives. They earn the
right to be heard in the boardroom. To be able to effect change, safety professionals
must become emergent leaders.
In this highly engaging workshop, attendees will learn and practice the three core
behaviors exhibited by emergent leaders: They build trust in their relationships; they
create accountability for others; and they lead with passion. Armed with these tools,
you will take a major step toward elevating the level of safety excellence in your
organization.
