When you go through a program that is as challenging academically, physically, and mentally as West Point, you can’t help form strong bonds with those who are going through it with you. Military Branch: Military Police Unit/Post: 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Georgia Military Highlights: Completed MP Officer Basic Course 3 combat deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I, III, and V. Primary mission was to teach, coach and mentor the Iraqi Police. During first two deployments was a platoon leader responsible for leading a platoon of 40 MP soldiers on raids, convoys, cordon and searches , and detainee operations. Third Deployment served as the Brigade Provost Marshal (senior MP in a mechanized brigade combat team) and lead approximately 4,000 soldiers. Where Lauren is now: Out of the Army and live in Doha, Qatar with my husband, 2 sons, and daughter. Currently work as an Engineer for ExxonMobil. What Jaclyn is doing now: Currently at the Ohio State School of Medicine. To this day the girls on the team are still my best friends. Military Branch: Signal Corps Unit/Post: 17th Signal Battalion, V Corps in Kitzingen, Germany Military Highlights: Completed Signal Officer Basic Course 2 Combat tours to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School, Quantico, VA. Marketing Officer at West Point after receiving MBA from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Army Marketing Strategist in Washington D.C. I left a full scholarship at a Top 25 Division I school at the age of 21 because I felt the urge to be a part of something greater. Everyday I am reminded that one decision I made has forever changed my life in an amazing way. Military Branch: Engineers Unit/Post: 36 Engineer Brigade, 8th Engineer Battalion Ft. Hood, TX. Military Highlights: Deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2008-2009. U.S Army Reserve Unit, 151st Theatre Information Operations Group, 301st Information Operations Battalion. Where Leigh is now: Upon completing my active duty commitment I served in the reserves for 3 years. She has a husband, Nick (USMA 03’) and their three sons, Powers (4), Rixey (2) and Rockey (9 mo) reside in Northport, NY. Athletic Awards and Accomplishments: Maggie Dixon Inspiration Award All Patriot League 2nd Team 2008, 10 Contributed to the No. 1 national ranking for goals against average, shutout percentage, and save percentage Army’s all-time leader in shutouts (31 solo and 34 combined) Favorite Thing about West Point: The friends that I made along with memories and life lessons that will last a lifetime. Platoon Leader in bravo Company, 225th Brigade Support BN Deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 2013-14. Where Alex is now: Finishing my time up at Schofield Barracks , HI where I will finish up my XO time and move to the S-4 Shop.
