Activity folders will be available for children in a basket in the front of the church.
Please see the Sunday School calendar posted in the dining room. Practice for the Children’s Christmas
program will be held following the Children’s Message at the 10 a.m. service. Mark your calendars
for December 7th for the Christmas Program.
NURSERY CARE for infants and children through age 5 is provided by Kari Hildreth, our certified
Nursery Administrator and is available during the 10:00 a.m. Worship Service. The nursery is located
downstairs. Just follow the stairs at the back of the sanctuary and you will find the nursery on the right.
Ushers will be happy to assist you.
THE FLOWERS on the altar this morning are given in loving memory of Martin Rosenthal.
THE NURTURE COMMITTEE will meet today at 11:15 a.m. in the Library.
THE ZONE I HYMN SING is tonight at 6 p.m. at Trinity UMC in Sebewaing.
THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN will meet for lunch this Tuesday, October 28th at 11:30 a.m. at
China King. All are welcome!
FOOD DISTRIBUTION - The Missions and Outreach committee will be holding a food distribution in the
Merchants Building at the Bad Axe Community Fairgrounds this Tuesday, Oct. 28th. The truck will arrive
about 1:00. The distribution is from 3-5. We will need lots of volunteers to work with us in helping needy
families in our community meet their food needs.
THIS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29th –

Lunch & Learn will meet at noon in the conference room. Bring a sack lunch. Coffee and tea are
provided

Handbell Choir rehearses from 7-8 p.m.

Chancel Choir rehearses from 8-9 p.m.
PROJECT CONNECT -- We need people to help move items from the Church to the Tech Center on
Friday, Oct. 31st at 2:00 p.m. Many hands make light work. Bodies are also needed on Saturday, Nov.
1st from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to help distribute items at the event. It's really a rewarding
experience! Free coffee & lunch is available. Please call Kathie Abke - 269-8388.
PRAYER SHAWLS will be blessed next Sunday, November 2nd during the 10 a.m. service. Please bring
any completed shawls to the communion rail prior to the service.
A BEGINNING YOGA CLASS is being offered upstairs in our education building - Mondays at 5:45 p.m.
and Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. Bring a yoga mat if you have one. Classes are free of charge and last about
1 hour. Call Lisa MacAlpine with questions 989-574-5746.
A PANCAKE BREAKFAST is being served today from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, Park Street
in Bad Axe. All you can eat! Adults - $8/children - $3.50.
