Teaching a foreign language now forms part of the statutory Key Stage curriculum. Join
our termly Subject Leader Meetings to keep up to date with developments.
Content:
These sessions support subject leaders in developing their strategic role and provide
opportunities to make or renew network contacts.
This session will:
 provide a mixture of local and national updates
 share expertise and good practice
 offer practical ideas and activities to use in the classroom
 reflect on aspects relevant to the role of subject leaders
Target Audience:
This session is aimed at staff with a role in the development of languages at primary
level, eg Subject Leaders, Curriculum Leaders and Senior Leadership Team
Trainer:
Odette Hunt is an experienced and well respected Primary Languages Consultant. She
works closely with schools, providing bespoke in-school support, CPD, training courses
and conferences. Odette is a course tutor for the Primary PGCE Languages programme
at the University of Manchester. She is a founding director of PQ France Ltd, offering
grant-funded language and methodology courses in Carcassonne, France and runs a
local primary languages network.
